Random question... ISO 9001 and 13485 require supplier/vendor evaluation. Does this include registrars/CBs? Other than an accreditation, are there any other requirements they must meet?
Nope! Not if you are thinking ANAB accreditation. CBs don't affect product quality (and it's NOT an outsourced process) so why bother? The evals you mention have NOTHING to do with the services of a CB and, as we are constantly reminded by some folks, ISO certified companies ship bad product...
You may have requirements, however. Is it cost, service, competent auditors or someone from your zip code?
