Can anyone explain the meaning of "8.4.2.4 " Customer disruptions at the receiving plant, including yard holds and stop ships"

Here, does the customer mean our company or our customer?

What is the meaning of yard holds and stop ships?

8.4 is about control of material/service providers (suppliers) so 8.4.2.4 is about disruptions at the supplier's site.

"Yard holds" and "Stop ships" are described in the thread Terms, "Yard Holds", and "Stop Ships" in TS 16949.
