We saw this sentence in the standard and were wondering what this is about and how to check it: "Supplier's multi-disciplinary approach to decision making".
No IATF 16949 certified customer had ever raised the issue during an audit. Somebody has experience with this?
Thanks in advance!

Simply go beyond sell price where more than 1 supplier is available.
Create Excel sheet where e.g. point are automatically calculated against criteria, based on:
a) objective metrics as:
- quality performance (quality discipline)
- delivery performance (logistic/purchasing discipline)
b) subjective metrics as:
- smoothness of new product implementation (purchasing/technical discipline)
- openness of claim support (quality discipline)
c) other worth (or) less aspects, as
- standard against which supplier's quality management system is certified (purchasing/quality discipline)
- second party audit results (purchasing/quality discipline)
- payment terms (accounting discipline)
etcetera, etcetera and you have more than 1 discipline, we can even say you have multi-discipline.

Excel will tell you - take this one or another.
Without sheet nonconformity shall be raised. :tg::tg::tg:

Thanks for your fast reply, Sebastian! (y)So we have it for selection of our suppliers. And we need to check when selecting new suppliers if they do the same?

I didn't see that sentence in the standard. The closest I can find so far is 8.4.1.2 d. Where did you find the sentence you quoted?

Hello Johnnymo62,
When reading your question, and going back to the standard with Sebastian's initial answer, I see now that I have misinterpreted the meaning, so problem solved, thank you for your quick replies!
