Hello all,
I have a question surface finish measurement methods and I will appreciate any help in this regard.
How do I determine the type of measuring technique/method to be used for a specific part/component. In other words, what are the factors to be determined/taken into account while selecting the right kind of measuring method.
Also If I use say a mechanical stylus based testing for measuring the surface finish of a cylindrical part. How does it transform to the surface finish of the entrire metallic rod. In other words, how does the 2d measurement transform to a 3d measurement.
Once again any help is appreciated.
