Taguchi Anova Error with Minitab

Hello,

I have a Taguchi design using an L27 orthogonal array. I have 8 factors with 3 levels. The response is % crystallinity. There are 3 different product was occured and I evaluated each response seperately.

My problem is I can not do the anova analysis.

The error is " Factor C is highly correlated with other terms. No calculations were done".

I attached the reponse values and minitab output.

I will be very happy if someone help me.

Please attach your Minitab worksheet (*.MTW), and I would be happy to take a look at it. You Excell file did not contain the design structure for the 8 factors. If you are concerned about propriety of the information, just code the factor names as A, B, C...

In your Excel file, you have some data entered as zero, but in Minitab, that same data is entered as a missing value code '*'. Which is correct?

In some run, product was not occured. So I wrote zero for this response. But minitab does not accept "zero". For this reason I wrote nothing for this response in minitab file. Is it Wong?

Does this mean that 1) you have not run those experimental conditions? 2)Those experimental conditions are not feasible? 3) You ran the experimental conditions but saw 0% crystallinity?

I run all 27 experimental conditions. But some conditions I saw % 0 crystallinity. For example there were not any product occured in run 1. So the crystallinity was '0' (product was amorph) for all products. In run 2 product were occurred (responses were 6.17 and 19.29), but third product was not occured so the responce was '0' for the third product.

I attaced an article that very similar as my study. I want to reach similar results. I want to find optimal conditions and significant parameters for three products.

The S/N calculation requires data > 0. Rather than changing your zeros to the '*' missing value code, change them to a very small, yet positive number such as 0.0000001.
