Hi Al,

I've just tried to register an account on your site, but I keep getting an error message saying I need to enter my name, which I have done repeatedly now, but still can't seem to register. Any help?
Cheers

Hello toomuchbrandy,

Please try to log into the website again. If that doesn't work please use the "Contact" page to send me an email. Alternately, enter the following address into your browser for a direct download:

trackpro.org/beta/trackpro_freeware_setup.exe

Track Pro is ok, but when I scanned it was full of Trojans: I found for ex. the following: "Downloads\trackpro.exe (PUP.Optional.Freemium.A)". Run a antimalware programe after installation (for ex. Malwarebytes) and you'll find it.
Be careful, especially with the free software from some sites as CNET, Brothersoft or Softonic.

PUP.Optional.Freemium.A it?s technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits, such as rootkit capabilities to hook deep into the operating system, browser hijacking, and in general just interfering with the user experience. The industry generally refers to it as a ?PUP,? or potentially unwanted program.

Sorry guys....

Why would you run a malware scan after installation when the bad stuff has already been installed? You should scan the executable installer before installation.

I scanned the executable from the source at https://www.trackpro.org and it comes up clean. If you got your file from a source other than that and didn't scan it before installing it, you shouldn't be too surprised.

Hello Babilou,

I am Al the developer of TrackPro. Can you tell me which site you downloaded TrackPro Setup from? If you can, I will do my best to have it removed. I can assure you that if you download from trackpro.org you will receive a spyware and virus free installation file.

I downloaded it from CNET. In fact there is a warning when you try to download it, about some software they will install with, but a gave little attention.
So it was my mistake.
Downloading it from your site is really the solution.
Thanks.

I have used TrackPro at a two different companies now, and I must say being a bit of a coder myself, that TrackPro is very well put together and offers alot of very helpful features that can usually only be found in the more expensive packages.

Make no mistake, there are a few features that I still need to use a homemade VBA module to get what I need, but if you have fewer than 150 gages to monitor and want a solid application that will do the most common features necessary TrackPro is great. And the license expense for more than 150 gages isn't too bad either.

It's a great option for small businesses or for those who work in companies that are a little tight with the purse strings when it comes to Quality.

Hail to the coders of the world!

Hi All,

First a full disclosure, I work for the makers of GageList. However, I believe my recommendation directly answers the question being asked so I will go ahead.

GageList.com Online Calibration has offered a completely free plan for years. It is not a trial and takes about 5 minutes to get up and running. It is very suitable for small companies, departments or labs that have ISO 9001 and similar test and measurement equipment control requirements.

I have seen the account list and many of these companies have used the free version for years without any problems.

Doug
