I am in need of some help aquiring some information on ISO9000 and AS9100. I am doing a term paper on How an aircraft maintance facility, by becoming ISO9000 and AS9100 compliant, can get its FAA certification. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to The Cove Forums! :bigwave: :bigwave:

You want to use the (advanced) search function on this site.
Tons of good information. (Some assembly required). :agree1:

Re: Iso9000 / as9100

One of the first things you could do is to refocus on AS9110. That is the appropriate quality management standard for an aircraft maintenance operation.

Ditto to what Sidney said. AS9100 is more focused on organizations that produce new product. AS9110 is for aviation maintenance organizations.

Sidney does webinars fairly regularly on AS9X00 standards - look for the DNV advert just to the left of your post and you can see a couple coming up this month.

I'll ditto what Steve said about the DNV webinars. I work for a competitor of DNV called BSI, we have our own material but it is always good to hear multiple points of view and different perspectives....and Sidney is just good to listen to as well.

Have you completed your paper? I haven't visited the cove in too long so I just came across your question. But I am currently helping an ISO certified company get a FAA 145 repair station license and may be able to offer some insight.
