what is the correct terminology for referring to a product that has an approved Technical File? The product fits under the company's CE mark so a new CE mark was not obtained when the Technical File was approved. should the product be called "CE cleared" or "CE approved" or what?

Class II. Technical File was approved after a BSI Technical Audit.
If BSI deemed a re-issue of the EC certificate unnecessary, I'd refer to it as "EC certified". If they intend to re-issue, but haven't done so yet, I'd refer to it as "EC certification in progress".

Cheers,
Ronen.
