The Best Calibration Management Software Recommendations wanted

Any comments on the best Calibration Management Software?
My firm is thinking of updating the old Access based database for a more functional one. Ours is limited and very time consuming when inputting data and writing up certs. I believe some can drive the calibrator as well.

Any comments greatly appreciated

There are numerous products on the market. If yours is a single, self-contained calibration lab, MetTrack by Fluke is a well known choice, although (in my opinion) for multiple site, commercial labs, it is not quite so well featured (although a good, solid database package). It does connect with MetCal, an automation package for automating calibrations.

Some of the other databases are Blue Mountain (can't remember the package name), Mudcats, and some others. And for more commercial full featured multi-site commercial operations, Gage Insite by Indysoft is well known.

For automation of calibrations, SureCal by Northrup Grumman is a well known choice, and Gage Insite also has an automation option available.

Please note that this is a non-commercial forum, and these are purely my own opinions and not financially tied to any of these products. I don't endorse any of them, but offer this information for general assistance. I would advise checking them all out by doing a web search and getting demos of them to see what features you need. If anyone can add in some of the numerous other packages that I couldn't think of, feel free.

The most current version of Blue Mountain's product is BRAM. It's quite excellent.

I also saw a demo last week of PROCALV that was also an excellent product.

Are you in a regulated industry? Will this be for printing forms or just tracking activities? Will you be using modules? Will it need to interface with other applications?

The two I mentioned are good applications, but if you are small and don't need to worry about 21CFR Part 11 ER/ES compliance and such, and if your validation is more basic, then those two packages may not be for you.

Its an inhouse cal-lab so its more just keeping the database upto date, sending out reminders, printing certs etc. I wouldn't mind if it was connected to my calibrator so it auto program the tests rather than me having to in put a whole schedule of tests initially

Also I would like it if it could print out graphs of the result automatically too, or work out uncertainties or stand dev etc
