Thanks for the info and link. I think I'll add my ISP for poor service. No answer to my e-mail for a week. Guess I'll have to most of the changeover myself.
Don't feel like the lone stranger, Marc. :vfunny: My ISP dumped 3/4 of the personal web sites from their customers' personal accounts and didn't bother telling anyone that it had happened. I kept getting e-mails from people saying our web site was down... Yet a check of my personal account showed all the files still in my account. Took the bozos 6 weeks to finally admit that they couldn't recover my files (even though they were listed in my directory) and that I had to reload them... grrrrrrrrr.
To top it all off, the right hand didn't know the left hand had a thumb up their @ss... :vfunny:

I've backed up the complete site and I do a weekly of the forums database. I just got a 'new' (read used) computer up and online running (ugh) Windoz 2000. I'm doing some figuring and will probably run it as Elsmar.com through TZO. My IPS sat on his butt and it totally unresponsive right now. Scary feeling. US$100 a month cheaper than any of the other comparables, but scarry.

Everything is pretty smooth right now so it's not at all like the nightmare last fall of switching ISPs.

Anyway - any mail changes are on hold until I get a few things figured out. I will be switching some stuff over to my office peecee but I'll let everyone know what and when.

For those in Cincinnati, Onenet has been sold again and apparently it is really a mess. Mail accounts closed out, web sited dropped, their web site can no longer be reached.

Oh, my! Maybe their quality was so good that they couldn't afford to operate any longer (NOT).

Friday - 17 May - Cold and rainy in Cincy

Well, folks, it's a done deal. The server is now resolving Elsmar.com as the dns update has gone through the caching nameservers.

Some things I 'planned' have changed and my other server is now http://CheechWiz.com

The CheechWiz.com server is on the desk behind me.
Elsmar.com will remain with my current host - http://gsp.com

As I mentioned earlier, you don't have to change anything because 16949.com and qs9000.com will still resolve to Elsmar.com They're all aimed at the same IP --> http://161.58.193.73

Well, there's a fire in the fireplace (I thought we were done with winter) and I'm gonna lay low this weekend. I just remembered Monday is Memorial Day!

Cheech,

Two things to be careful of. (maybe three). There is already a cheezewiz. It's an aerosol cheese spread that you spray on crackers. Second, Monday is Victoria day in Canada. Next, next, next Monday is Memorial day, so don't get too comfortable in front of the fireplace. But, to me, every weekend away from the grind is like a holiday. The third? I don't know about you. For me, it's a nice jug of my favorite concontion. I just couldn't let it slide, Amigo. :agree: :ko: :smokin:

You're excused.

Darn - I was a week off on Memorial Day! Please excuse my 'senior' moment... :smokin:
Cheech,

Wait until you get to be my age!:biglaugh: I put every thing in Mickey Soft's calendar. Too cheap to buy a palm pilot. Remember when that term had another meaning? Later Guy,

I have one of the first Apple MessagePad 1000's. I believe it was the first 'true' pda, but it was too big and ended up failing as a mainstream seller. I rarely use it any more.

I have a PIM program on my Mac and I print out a 5 week calendar which I keep on a clip board. It was right in front of my face and I guess I was so busy catching up with e-mails and stuff after I got back from my client that I looked and for some reason was not registering the week of the 20th. I guess. Heck - I really feel stupid. But, I've felt stupid before and I'm very, very sure it will happen again - probably many times... :bonk:

WebCam at the Ranch!

Yes - as always. Anyways, for those of you who are strange, (which definitely includes energy...) go to:

http://CheechWiz.com

I've got a web cam online taking shots about every 20 seconds. The page will auto-magically refresh for you every 20 seconds. If I'm sleeping you'll just see a picture of the CheechWiz.com server monitoring window.

Yes, folks. Marc at home! Don't miss it. It may be this weekend only!

Can't say it's permanent. I'm playing around with the server and thought I'd have some fun this weekend!
