Tonight hubby and I have a date night - going to see New in Town at the movies. This will be the first movie we've been to see together since The Devil Wears Prada. Looking forward to a good weekend all the way around...

For Devil Wears Prada being a chick flick and all... it was pretty good.

I guess I'm getting old... chick flicks don't bother me as much.

Gidget, my wife (thirty something) had never been on a motorcyle. So we went to East Texas (mom's family) to ride with my cousin. Well... I didn't tell her to watch for the tailpipe! So I had to hear about that burn for a week.

I don't know how fast he was going.. but she looked quite white when she came back. He had grown up on those back roads, so he probably knew how to drive them.

hubby and I are looking forward to a family ride with our daughter this weekend. Supposed to be sunny but cold, so maybe it will just be a short ride

We may be doing well to ride in a car soon, much less a motorcycle!

Yup, if you live in Michigan, you're obliged to drive a 4 wheel drive! You need it in the winter and, in summer the roads are so rough it's like 4 wheeling!

I lost my Chevrolet Cobalt in a hole last summer on I75 that was so big there were 4 other cars in there...

Get another load out tonight, then I'll have 2 trucks loads tomorrow. If the snow holds back.

I did pull out an older version of Links the other day. I'll probably load it and pretend like... for some reason... it's way better than X-Box 360 on big screen!!

Considering that I've been in Indianapolis, Detroit, Baltimore and Newark, DE this month you'd have figured that I should have frozen my asz off....but alas, I looked and it's still there

I'm heading to Atlanta next week and I'm hoping and praying that it is at least 40F there

Is this typical of the whole world or is it just NJ....

My company's driveway is on the south bound side of state highway (50 MPH speed limit).
There's a pretty good view up the road of oncoming traffic so it's pretty easy to judge when to pull out.
But no matter how much space I give oncoming cars, and no matter how fast I accellerate, it seems that almost all of these cars JUST HAVE TO stomp on the gas to get on my tail to show their displeasure that I had the gall to enter traffic.

Seriously - people have gone to at least 70-75 or more just to catch me and ride my a$$.
I can get out and accellerate to 65 (15MPH over the speed limit) and someone will still catch up. I've got a Honda Accord V6 - it's not a sports car but it's got acceptable pick up so it's not like I'm crawling into 50 mph traffic with a Yugo.
