It's a New England thing! In Michigan we have different behaviours!
Is this typical of the whole world or is it just NJ....
My company's driveway is on the south bound side of state highway (50 MPH speed limit).
There's a pretty good view up the road of oncoming traffic so it's pretty easy to judge when to pull out.
But no matter how much space I give oncoming cars, and no matter how fast I accellerate, it seems that almost all of these cars JUST HAVE TO stomp on the gas to get on my tail to show their displeasure that I had the gall to enter traffic.
Seriously - people have gone to at least 70-75 or more just to catch me and ride my a$$.
I can get out and accellerate to 65 (15MPH over the speed limit) and someone will still catch up. I've got a Honda Accord V6 - it's not a sports car but it's got acceptable pick up so it's not like I'm crawling into 50 mph traffic with a Yugo.
