Is this typical of the whole world or is it just NJ....

My company's driveway is on the south bound side of state highway (50 MPH speed limit).
There's a pretty good view up the road of oncoming traffic so it's pretty easy to judge when to pull out.
But no matter how much space I give oncoming cars, and no matter how fast I accellerate, it seems that almost all of these cars JUST HAVE TO stomp on the gas to get on my tail to show their displeasure that I had the gall to enter traffic.

Seriously - people have gone to at least 70-75 or more just to catch me and ride my a$$.
I can get out and accellerate to 65 (15MPH over the speed limit) and someone will still catch up. I've got a Honda Accord V6 - it's not a sports car but it's got acceptable pick up so it's not like I'm crawling into 50 mph traffic with a Yugo.

It's a New England thing! In Michigan we have different behaviours!

In Michigan they pass you, flip you off then cut you off! If being cut off causes you to stop, don't get out of the car!

See, here speed limits are suggestions, especially right before rush hour. No one wants to be caught on the road so you go as fast as you feel comfortable with!

Around here the only rude drivers are the California imports.

Actually, everyone's pretty easy-going when I'm on the roads.

Even on our long road trips (Utah-Wisconsin, Utah-Oregon, Utah-California) there have been few problems.

Growing up in Wisconsin, it was the crazy Illinois drivers you had to look out for.

I am curious if any other Covers are baseball fans, and what you think about A-Rod's admission yesterday that he took steroids from 2001 to 2003.

It don't surprise me.

I just wished they would give the entire Rangers team steriods!!

Couldn't care less unless it was about criminal activity of NFL players...

They really need to find the chain and flush the entire Pro Baseball, Football and Basketball industry, start from scratch by maxing salaries at about $750K per year or so, come up with real conduct standards and enforcment of them.

Doin OK today, how about yourself?

As far as the Colts are concerned, we will still have the majority of our roster, with the only big name free agent being Jeff Saturday, and I expect they'll either work something out, or franchise him.
My only concern is our new head coach, Jim Caldwell. He replaced both the Special Teams coach and the D Coordinator, so it should be an interesting year to say the least.
