Well, I don't know about anyone else in the area, but I am tired of all the rain we have been getting here in the Tennessee Valley area! I think it has rained every single day for the last 2 weeks or more. Maybe not all day every day, but we've had some rain every day...Places in Chattanooga are flooding, the Little River is way up and in places overflowing its banks.

I had the opportunity to "get away" for the weekend and went to the Florida Panhandle to shoot a beach wedding at sunset. Even there it rained Friday and Saturday, off and on, but thankfully stopped long enough to get the happy couple hitched and some photos done. Yesterday was the first time in a long time that I actually got to see some sunny skies and sunshine!

We have just ended a 21 day dry spell here after one of the wettest summers we have had in some time..we had NO rain in September until today! Although, it depends on where you live in our area today. Tomorrow is the guaranteed end to the rain.

My grass went from lush green to light green - hopefully the rain tomorrow helps.

I hardly ever complain about rain, and this year definitely not. As some of you might remember, last year my well went dry and I had to drill a new one. I just wish we could customize when it rains....only at night between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am, or only during the work week, etc.

Maybe you could write another new ISO standard for "Rain Frequency and Amount Guidence" Seems like there is one for everything else

Why not? If we can control carbon dioxide and ozone, dihydrogen oxide should be a piece of cake!

all the talk about rain is making me quite jealous. Texas has been having a rough time of it this summer. Me and my wife acctually got outside to do a rain dance to see if would help, but i think i scared the clouds away in my loin cloth

Yeah, I'm jealous too.

We've had so many years of drought in SE Australia that the ground's been dry all the way through - I don't remember it being so dry before. We had some decent rain in the last few days (meaning, something that did more than just sptter for 10 mins or so and actually made the ground dark and damp) and it was great.

So send any excess over here would you?

Here in Arlington, we got a lot of rain over the past week and a half.

Our house must sit on a little higher elevation, as it has become Ant Hill.

Almost made it to Texas this weekend.

Were were on a Native American ruin circle tour - Mesa Verde NP (in Colorado), Aztec NM (New Mexico), Chaco Culture NHS (NM), Canyon de Chelly NM (Arizona) - but when we got to Chaco all the campsites were taken. I mean, there's almost 50 there, and they're all full in October?

So we drove the 150 miles to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta. Hundreds of hot air balloons all taking off at sunrise is quite a site.

We also swung by Acoma pueblo for a quick tour before driving to Canyon de Chelly.

Lots of wind on Sunday and Monday, but no rain.
