Every one is idealizing Messi comparing him to Maradona, but frankly he did not shot much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably down to the fact that he is the most dazzingly gifted player seen since Maradona retired from playing. Sure, there are other great players (Ronaldo, Kaka, Schneider (sp?) etc) but Messi in full flow is simply magical and a joy to watch. Ok, he hasn't scored in this tournament yet and his play hasn't quite been up to his own meteoric standards, but he's still been exceptional at times. And just watch him any occasion he pulls on a Barcelona shirt - he's on a different planet to the rest of them at times (and that's in the greatest club side on Earth at this moment in time).

Anyway, just so I can show my continuing ineptness at predicting scores in this most unpredictable of tournaments, here's what I've put down in the prediction competition we're holding here:

Brazil 2 Holland 1
Uruguay 3 Ghana 0
Argentina 1 Germany 2 (seems I'm in a severe minority here with that one...)
Paraguay 0 Spain 2

Here's hoping for some really entertaining games, full of quality and free-flowing football...
