The New CQI 11 or 12 Annual Assessment for Plating & Coatings Requirement

One of our automotive customers is requesting / requiring the CQI-11 assessment be done. The company I am with does not subscribe to TS16949, and we are either 3rd or 4th teir to the ultimate customer (GM, Ford, whichever).

We perform nickel and gold plating. As I reviewed the assessment, I too am under the impression that it is applicable to Zinc / Zinc Alloy process only. The clarifications / interpretations stated nothing about nickel and gold.

Is the assessment applicable to nickel and gold plating??
