hi all,
i am a novice in quality ,iam doing my masters in Industrial Engineering
iam jai
iam working as an operations Intern worrking towards implementing a quality control plan for a certain process
Working for Bacons Informations Inc, Chicago, US
its been like 3 weeks i have been in bacons
The word variation in quality as of now looks like a big hurdle to me, so if i could change something inthe world of qualtiy, i will try to eliminate variation.

I wonder if Bacon is the successor to a clipping service which used to have its offices in 14 East Jackson building, Chicago. Back in the 60's (and much earlier, of course), companies and individuals used to pay clipping services to hire readers to read through ALL publications, looking for any mention (good, bad, or indifferent) of the company name, the person's name, or product name.

My company subsequently owned that building for a few months in the 70's while we were refinancing a small casualty company that owned it. One of the vacant office suites had been the home of Bacon, a clipping service. In going through the abandoned personal property of the tenant, I fell heir to one of the "desk easels" the readers used to hold the reading material at a comfortable angle and still use it 35 years later!

Its the same Bacons, and its a part of AB observer now.., they moved their office to michigan avenue
