1. Mary Winch
2. Quality Systems Manager
3. 1978 started in Aerospace Quality for Fairchild Republic, Grumman, Eaton EID, and Aerospace Avionics. When Regan came into office all of Long Island's Aerospace Contracts went west.
4. Presently employed by Symbol Technologies, Inc., Holtsville NY, which will be Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions tomorrow - Jan. 9, 2007. Both companies are great and both were awarded National Medal of Technology. Symbol received it from President Clinton - I don't know if Motorola received it from Bill or W, but it doesn't matter
5. 29 years and counting - I started in Symbol 18 years ago when it had about 250 associates. We have over 5,000 today go to
www.symbol.com to see our great product lines - we started with handheld barcode scanners.
6. Learning and sharing knowledge. I have been an inspector on A-10s, EF111s, F-14s, products and changed over to commercial industry - fortunately with Symbol we had great R&D and continued to grow. I became an ASQ CQA in 1989 (#01270), and RABQSA Lead Auditor (# 09523) in 2004, a certified trainer 2006 and have passed tests for TL 9000 and ISO9001 Lead Auditor over the years. Next will be Medical Systems, and maybe Aerospace. I've done many Supplier Audits both home and abroad and enjoy that too. I'm also Document Controller, and was Symbol's Lab Quality Manager when our Test and Reliability Lab was ISO17025 certified.
7. Resistance to change -
8. I will change the world in Quality by learning, sharing and teaching. I use Process Mapping and Process Turtles when I prepare my fellow associates for CB Audits.
