6. What exactly is a Systems Manager?
This is not the forum to answer questions such as this, but if hopefully my response will either answer your question or point you in the right directon for posting the question in the proper forum.
A Systems Manager can mean one of two things, depending on the context in which it is used:
(1) IT related...responsible for managing information technology aspects (hardware and/or software), including staff, contractors, programming, etc.
(2) Business Management Systems related...responsible for managing the ongoing development and evolution (aka improvement) of the BMS tools which could include concepts such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISRS, Sarbanes-Oxley, TPM, TQC, etc.
If you're looking at the acronyms and terms in (2), then odds are you're really (1).
