Hi, I'm a new folk. TheWizard

I have been in the Quality arena for 15+ years. I currently work at a blood collection center in Wisconsin. Prior to coming here I work for a pharmaceutical company. Big, big cultural change!!!!!!!!!! Shock!!!!

My pet peeve in quality is any unnecessary redundancy.

If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? Promote system thinking and organizational learning.

I have been the quality field for nearly 20 years.(various jobs within quality )

Taking the time to effectively plan upfront will lessen the pain down the road.

5. Time in Quality: 12 years, started out in ISO 9002 & Ford Q1; responsible in my last company for the conversion to the new standard ISO9001:2000. then changed companies & Standard to ISO13485:2003.
6. Something personal that sets me apart: I was adopted in Germany & born on St. Patty's Day.
7. Pet Peeve: Previous employers lip service to quality. Lack of holding Mfg. Management accountable.
8. I like Dan's idea of putting everybody in someone else's shoes for a week. To see how there actions or lack there of make a difference. Cross Training.

Just found this website yesterday and now I am hooked.

:bigwave: Welcome Covers - If Jak438 wants to see mountains on Lawn Guyland he'll have to settle for Bald Hill one of the hightest - locatin of Vietnam Memorial Park - or cruise upstate on the Taconic Parkway to the Catskills. I'd love to see the Grand Canyon Karen - maybe this year. Great International group joining this week - Come back soon.:cool:
