1. Name - Nicole Irvin
2. Job Title or explanation of what you do - ISO Rep
3. Industry you're in or have been in - Industrial Distribution
4. Company you work for and location - Central States Group - Omaha, NE
5. Length of time in quality function - not very long - just a novice
6. Something personal that sets you apart - Can't say CASA volunteer - someone already took that. This questions is a bit vague and hard to answer - sets me apart from what? my coworkers, my colleagues, my community, society in general? I'll just throw a few things out there and hope that at least one of them is unique: I'm very liberal (unusual for my location and industry), three of my four animals are black, I work part time as a bartender, I don't own a SUV (also unusual for my location), I'm not a husker fan, I hate shopping and I love horror films.
7. Your pet peeve in quality
Top management not taking our QMS seriously
8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do?
I don't feel qualified to answer this question. Sorry. Can I just second Govind's answer?

Prophet of Profit
Yep, Nicole. Most of us here would rather concentrate on the nuts and bolts of Quality instead of fighting all the folks who think Quality is a drag on profits.

We're always looking for someone with the "magic bullet" to help us achieve that.

Maybe you'll be the one to have that insight to help us all accomplish the task of imbuing our entire organization with the culture.

Welcome to the Cove!:bigwave:

I'll echo that. :) Welcome to the Cove, Nicole :bigwave:

Right on Wes. Mind you, I don't think it's so much a question of finding the "magic bullet"... I rather think you need to have a healthy stash of the things, enabling you to keep the place under a constant cross-fire.

As a fellow Michigander, Welcome! :bigwave:

Occasionally a few of us from here in the Detroit area get together for lunch. Several of us are on the south side, so perhaps we can schedule something so you can attend as well! You would be more than welcome! :agree1:

BTW, my guess would be Lazyboy, seeing you are from Monroe.
