Hi,

My name is Christina Cain and I am currently a Sr. Technical Recruiter specializing in placing scientists and highly qualified Engineers. I often come across job orders seeking out Quality Engineers certified in ASQ.
I was guided to this site in hopes if I post a few of my positions, I may get a response back.

Any referrals are welcome as well. It is a difficult industry out there... helping people is what I do- I hope I can get some help back.

:thanx: I downloaded the ISO9001/9004 draft from ASQ Web last week - it was also in the link you posted. There's great info on the link - thanks for sharing :bigwave:

2. Job title: Facility Quality Manager - Oversee all of the Quality functions within my particular facility.

3. Industry: Aerospace wiring and cable and CCA manufacturer

4. Company and location: Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing, Inc. - North Dakota
5. Time in quality: almost 1 year

6. What sets me apart (condensed version): I have been an electronics technician for 19 years and did engineering for my present company for 3 years. I bring a common sense approach to the job and can understand and disseminate how the quality world really meets our production.

7. Pet peeve: Management being out of touch with the reality of their production floor.

8. What I would change: Make everyone realize that it is cheaper to build something right the first time.

Hi cove-ers. Here's a little about moi:

1. Name: Lisa Blanchard

2. Job Title: Well, I don't really work. I volunteer at this place and they give me a small stipend on a monthly basis :lol: . Ok, seriously, I'm a Standards Officer in the Certification Department.

3. Industry: Standards-related body

4. Company: Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards. My department does mainly Product and Process Certification and implementing ISO 9001 internally. We are located in Castries, Saint Lucia (that's in the Caribeban, if anyone's windering)

5. Length of time in quality function: 2 years or so.

6. Something personal that sets you apart: Hmm. I am pretty creative with my hands. My co-workers seem to look forward to my latest triumphs in baked goods (for a while I thought they actually like me, but now I know better).:D

7. Your pet peeve in quality: When people totally miss the point of implementing a QMS and focus on generating papers or on putting something together for an auditor. They forget the true benefit is the system functioning effectively.:mad:

8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? I would like to see more diversity in the world of quality. :frust:

Hi all,

I am the new comer to this forum. Still i am a undergraduate studing for a Bachlor of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics.

We are the first batch in Rajarata University of Sri Lanka which is just a 10 years old kid among other sri lankan universities.

i was following a course in university regarding Statistical Quality Control and i found it very interesting area to study. so i intended to do a project relevent to that.

my project is to analyse and introduce a SPC system to a garment factory (sewing department).

i went to a garment factory and analyse data, and nowadays i am writing my project report.

i just searched for constructing xbar and R chart, and google directs me this valuable forum.
i think you, genious, will help me in advising me always.

remember dears, we are the first batch in reading for a degree in industrial mathematics. we have to clear the path as well as to show the path to others. help us in this regard. our main subjects are in Operation Research.

What really peeves me off is people that assume, because im female that i dont like to get my hands dirty!
If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? I'd have all customers singing from the same hymn sheet, so i dont have to create different work instructions for each of them
