5. Length of time in quality function - 23ish years
6. Something personal that sets you apart - I like what I do
7. Your pet peeve in quality - the phrase "we've always do it that way"
8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? remove segregation of QA, Production, etc and create one big happy family

I am PSSKumar from Chennai , India.

I am working as a Sr.Manager in a CG Group company

I have about 25 years of experience and i am specialized in Quality. Also i am exposed to Manufacturing, New product development and TQM.

I am now working on to monitor Cost of Poor quality in our Organization.

I am looking for an effective and easy way to capture the cost of poor quality and i am confidant that i will get lot of useful information from this Forum.

Greetings All!
Ooh, I like the emoticons ---> in particular the 'mad rant'...'no pity' and keep in line. although the pity violin is a bit large.
Obviously I'm new on this forum, but I've been in the engineering or compliance laboratory many years and the calibration undertakings for several years in one capacity or another.

I presently manage a cal lab in the states, but we are internal only for the factory/service depts and ANSI Z-540 accredited. One of my to-do's is 17025 as we are seeing more requests for our products at this QS level.

I google hunted the topic of 'ISO 17025 Waiver' and found this site, but most of the 'waiver' threads are 2001. I will post a query on the subject here shortly.

I am hopeful to be of help as some of you will be to me.

3. We Design and Manufacture Evinrude E-Tec Outboard Engines.
4. I work for Bombardier Recreational Products
5. 1 year in manufacturing. 14 years as a Mechanical Designer.
6. I shave my head. Not that there is much growing on top.
7. It is not always seen as important to everyone.
8. I would require other departments to work in Quality to better understand the importance.
