Introduction

Hello everyone. I've been skulking around for sometime now but I'm happy to say I've finally gotten over my temerity and "aloof roleplay" (that according to the Celestine Prophecy) .
1. Name: Naomi Luis
2. Job Title or explanation of what you do. I'm a government employee. My job title is Senior Science Research Specialist. I promote and coordinate science and technology related activities in our area.
3. Industry you're in or have been in. I have worked as quality control technician in a dairy product plant and as trade and industry specialist in another government office. I have also served as college instructor.
4. Company you work for and location. Department of Science and Technology. Iloilo City, Philippines.
5. Length of time in quality function. about 5 years. I've passed the LA Course in 1999 and have registered with the Philippine National Registration Scheme for Quality Assessors. I wasn't able to register with IRCA and am planning to the LA course this year so that I can register.
6. Something personal that sets you apart. I easily blend into the background.
7. Your pet peeve in quality. nothing...yet
8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? Start with teaching the kids what quality really is...most of the things we know, we learnt in kindergarten.

7. Not enough time/resources to improve, seems harder to just maintain with what we have.

8. Establish a Quality cultural training course for any company who apply for a quality system certification, as I think the biggest problem with companies who have a certification normally just have to follow the documentation requirements.
