II have been enjoying this forum so much, I just haven't posted any comments so by way of introduction, here goes:
1. David Rainwater
2. Sr. Quality Engineer, ASQ CQM, ASQ CQE, ASQ CQA, RABQSA Auditor
3. The industry I am trying to improve is Carbon Fiber Composites.
4. At present, I work for Hexcel Corporation in Decatur, Alabama.
5. I have been in the quality function since 1995 so, I guess that would be about 13 years. Before that, I was an analytical chemist in the synthetic fibers industry.
6. The more I think I have something that sets me apart, the more I find out I am just like everyone else.
7. ?
8. If i could change the world of quality, I would SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY, SIMPLIFY!

8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? Quality wouldn't be a separate function but incorporated into all other functions (manufacturing, design engineering, business functions, etc.). Then I would be free to sing ;-)
