I am doing alot of work with CS2 , CS1 and GP12 - what I don't understand is when GM is involved and the customer is either on a 20 day or 90 day CS2, why does the customer fight this instead of taking the help and doing the paperwork - do anything - to get off CS2 as quick as possible. We have one customer that is just plain stuborn and it is going on 120 days now.

I can't easily split this post off, so the best I can say is please start a new thread (probably the best forum will be the Customer Specific Requirements' forum) and ask.

This thread is really for people who want to introduce themselves rather than for asking for answers to specific questions.

8. If I could change the world of quality, I would reduce all of the associated cost that small companies cannont afford.

My undergrad degree is in Industrial Technology

8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do: buy a copybook to all the engineers in the world and ask them to keep records of what they are doing

Job Title or explanation of what you do - Lead Medical Notified Body Auditor / Product Expert, auditing of the medical device companies and technical reviews of Technical Files, Design Dossiers and 510K FDA submissions (as third party reviewer). As a Six Sigma Black Belt also do a lot of training.

4. Company you work for and location - major Notified Body, located in Europe, but I am working for USA branch
5. Length of time in quality function - 15+ years
6. Something personal that sets you apart - I am not sure that it will set me apart, but I have a family : husband, grown up daughter, not yet grown up dog and rather old cat.
7. Your pet peeve in quality - the distance between the management and the quality system
8. If you could change the world of quality, what would you do? - The quality is a wonderful world, it might be improved, of course, but I would not like to change it dramatically
