17025 requires that you have a way to verify that you are producing valid results. There is a list of multiple methods that may be used included in the document, "f ) replicate tests or calibrations using the same or different methods" is one choice.
This choice would be to use a different valid method / process / procedure and seeing if the results you get are the same. For calibrations, you can compare the results using the manufacturer's procedure, one or more GIDEP procedures, your own procedure, an automated process, an industry standard, etc.
Choice b) is similar - there you run the same test / calibration method using different equipment to see if you get the same results.
In all of these choices, you will need to record the results of the processes, so that you can present evidence of the validity of your measurements.

Typically, this process is performed on your laboratory working standards. You will record and analyze these results to not only show that you are getting valid results, you will need to show trending to see if there is anything that could put your program at risk.
