Can someone explain the purpose of basic dimension to me?
We used basic dimensions to defines where points A,B and C are on a print. The A,B and C points are not accompanied by any other GD&T. When the supplier submitted PPAP, they ballooned the basic dimensions, and not the points A,B and C. Measurements for the basic dimensions were off (not exact, for example 1.99 was 2.03), does that mean that Points A,B and C were off as well?
