Absolutely not - far from it, although some people believe this to be true. In fact, the new version of ISO 9001 (to be released by the end of this year) has specifically added a new Note to help clarify that it is possible to meet more than one requirement in a single procedure.
There's a (free) document available from ISO called Guidance on the Documentation Requirements of ISO 9001 that's really helpful in this regard. You'll find it as one of those listed on the Home Page for ISO TC/176/SC2 (who are responsible for 9001).
(Actually, the thread topic is a bit misleading. It would be more accurate to refer to something like 'the six activities that must have procedures documented').
is there a nonconformity if tha procedure for corrective action is combined with the one for prevntive action?
