It's like 20 something here right now!!! Up until this Winter, Judi and I had been in the Mojave Desert where a cold day is around 40 or so. It's supposed to reach about 15 tonight...that's crazy!!

Friday, Saturday, Sunday and today. The weather is killing us. For those that make a living outdoors, this weather pattern is brutal. :(

Sure I am off for 2 weeks at Christmas time and we get no snow temps in 40's even got as high as 55 this past Saturday. Then when I wake up today we have a couple inches of snow and slush on the ground for my ride in to work.

When I lived in Kentucky, snow was pretty rare too. They'd close schools just based on a forecast of snow.

Here in Utah, we've had a total of about 39" of snow since Christmas. Fortunately, it's not all on the ground at the same time. The past couple of days there's been heavy fog. Not all the time though - only when I have to drive to and from work...

Ralph,

I lived in Charleston for 8 years and saw snow twice. Each time was less than an inch and it was usually gone by 9 or 10 in the morning. Still no one knew how to drive in it.

Re: The Weather Today - 9 Jan 2004

Current temp 2 (farenheit)
Expected low -10.

High tomorrow 8.

There has been steady 'lake effect' snow - approx.15 inches of light fluffy stuff on the deck.

Shepard dog loves it. Short haired boxer/mutt likes to stay in.

With an electric blanket and some schnapps - I can handle it!

Stew, Yes you are abosolutely correct about driving in the snow here. Last time we had any accumulation, only the former "Yankees" came to work. :vfunny: We got down to 19 Sat. night, Brrr

Re: The Weather Today - 13 January 2004

Enough is enough!!! It's deja vu here is Rochester. It's 32 right now and will be 0 by midnight. Snowin' like a <insert choice of word here>. Can't you Canadians keep your cold weather up there? I guess we have 3 days of sub-zero on its way. Just to make us feel better the weather dudes tell us that when it gets this cold we have an early spring as opposed to last year when it never got really cold, but winter lasted until April.

:bonk:
