Thread Plug Gauge Tolerances

Hi,

Could someone help me point me in the right direction, or explain to me how to determine what the tolerances are for Go/NoGo thread plug gauges. I know that they reference pitch diameters and I am familiar in how they are measured, but I can't seem to find anything that helps me when it comes to what these pitch diameters' tolerances are when measuring. I'm trying to set up, and/or correct our calibration system characteristics for each of the gauges as I'm not sure that what was originally inputted is correct.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Cheers!

Welcome to The Cove! :bigwave:

According to Alpha Thread Gage Inc., thread gages are made to Class X tolerances. Their web page has a table showing tolerance by size and feature.

I have no affiliation with Alpha Thread Gage.

The ANSI/ASME B1 series of documents are available. They are the bible of thread measurements.
