If you are referring to measurement tolerance I would expect to consult the drawings/specifications for accepted tolerance and calculate using
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles. See page 8 for a quick example of arriving at tolerance using drawing dimensions.
But if you are thinking in statistical terms,
NIST has instructions for calculating tolerance intervals of a population.
In calibration tolerance and uncertainty are not the same thing, as this
Calibration Principles paper from Isa.org explains. But a paper titled
Metrology Concepts: Understanding Test Uncertainty Ratio (TUR) from Transcat explains the relationship.
