One of the popular miscocept,that calibration is 'checking and adjusting......'; the correct one is 'checking and/or adjusting the accuracy of a measuring instrument.'Meaning-what can not be adjusted,has to be discarded/replaced.
It is apparent from your posts,that you do have the ring gauges to verify the truency of your gauge;then where is the difficulty in calibrating them?
