The theatres are good and you aren't too far away from them
Off the top of my head currently there is
We Will Rock You
Sound of Music
That's all I can remember but there was a new one that just started this week. Due to the economy, the weeknight tickets are virtually free!
Another area you may want to go is the Distillery district.
This area was recently revived. There are some REALLY good restaurants there and shops. It is a pedestrian area so there is very little actual car traffic. The one restaurant that I have been meaning to get to again is the Mill St. Pub (has over 131 flavours of
beer that you can try while waiting for a table!). There is also a steakhouse there that I haven't tried.
The World Baseball Classic just finished their visit here so their won't be any baseball until April.
From where you are staying, I would recommend using the TTC to do any of the above. MUCH cheaper and you don't have to fork over large $$$ to park. FYI, it is usually $10-$25 per spot for a night depending on what is going on and what night (i.e. for Maple Leaf hockey nights - min $20 to park).
Any other interests you may wish to indulge in while here? There is always the entertainment of walking up Yonge Street and just watching the locals walk around (there are 2 universities downtown....increases the entertainment value).
The weather is supposed to be nice (compared to Canadian winter cold) but don't expect any golf courses to be open. There is a simulator place near you (called InnerGolf I believe). I heard it was good but I haven't tried it.
