Our company is producing the wire harness for Automotive that buildup by hundreds of cables.
What methods can be adopted to ensure traceability from the raw material to the despatch ?

There is a wide variety of ways that traceability can be accomplished, but they depend on two things:
• What traceability does your customer require?
• How much material can you risk being responsible for if there is a recall.

What are the traceability requirements you have? Do you have to trace every wire back to individual batches or heats of material? Do you have to trace harnesses to the shift of production, or personnel? Answer a few of these basic questions, and I'm sure you'll get a much better response.

Due to we tried to traced every wire to finish goods and traced the harness to the shift and personal,but we found it is impossible.a lot of information need to be combined,and the operator need to waste much time to do paperwork.so we have to stop it.Though we do not meet any quality issue,but we do not know...
