I've learned a lot from the various trade magazines I subscribed to over the years.

I even get free subscriptions to some magazines that don't advertise their "controlled circulation" (industry term for freebie subscriptions to a desirable [to advertisers] demographic slice of the general population.)

For those of you who get bonuses and "attaboys" for publishing papers, these trade magazines are often a good market to sell or give your manuscripts. In a tight job market, every little "extra" you can add to your resume is a plus. An added feature of many trade magazines is a section devoted to job listings in that trade.

I would like to include the magazine I publish in this thread.

The magazine is CMM Quarterly at cmmquarterly.com. This is a magazine that is CMM / Vision focused. The magazine articles are written by people in the metrology field and not marketing people. This magazine is free and available to anyone. It is my attempt to give back to this industry that I've been involved in for a long time.
