Dear all,

Does anybody have some good advice or references (trainers, training organisations) for doing a training for auditors.
Goal of the traing should be: being capable of doing effective supplier audits

I need to install a high qualified auditor team...

Thanks a lot in advance for your support and hints!

Re: Training Supplier Audits

Have you looked at American Society for Quality's (ASQ) website? They offer training sessions for supplier auditing.

Good luck!

Where you have established a good supplier quality agreements, your supplier audit must be with that as the scope.
Hence, along with good auditing skills, knowledge about the agreement is very essential.

Aphel,

May I suggest you provide your organization's supplier audit programme and its objectives to ensure your trainer can fulfill your requirements?

Have you selected your auditor candidates for training because they behave as recommended by ISO 19011?

See: https://elsmar.com/elsmarqualityforum/posts/544657/

Many certified trainers of lead auditors cover the contractual issues of second party audits and their auditing role-play workshops focus exclusively on second party audits. So, ask to see the workshop assignments.

With clear objectives, careful selection of candidates and use of well-designed selection criteria for the trainer you are reasonably assured of success.

Good luck,

John

Check out the AIAG web site. There are multiple levels of classes, understanding (good for any of the auditors), implementing (good for regional or business leaders of the auditing activity) and the certification level class (industry recognition of the sensei).

You might also want to check the IRCA website for alternatives. Good advice from John re: making sure they address 2nd party audits in their training.
