I visited Marc twice in his home and he was a gentleman.
He lived in a modest manner but his legacy is rich with actions
I first came across what was then QS9000 forum when I was looking for help in implementing the standard in the middle of the dessert (literally)
He helped me and inspired many others
May his memory be blessed

Since the day I joined this forum, it has been a great experience. This experience is a legacy of Marc. I highly admire his thought to start this forum and allow different ignited minds to interact. He is one of those who has left his footprint in terms of his work and will be remembered by all of us. Rest in Peace Marc!

Marc was responsible for our being able to meet and your being able to stay with us a couple days.

To me part of Marc's legacy will be how the creation of the Cove allowed me to meet and get to know (and often share a meal) on a personal basis quite a few here like Howard, Wes Bucey, Roxane, Brad, Cari, Andy, Helmut, Lucinda, Coury, and a couple others.

This is such a sad "welcome back" news that I get to read... coming back (again) from such a long hiatus. I remember getting a welcome message from Marc during the Cayman Cove Forum and when it transitioned to The Elsmar... he was very accommodating to all my inquiries, to my plain "ignorance" to ISO 9001 back in 2000. I greatly appreciate his help, (also to all those kind moderators and contributors) ... really living up to Marc's tagline "People helping People". Thank you, Marc for your profound legacy. :thanks::agree1::notangel:

... desperately sad news. I can still remember my delight at coming across the Cove in the 1990s and the valuable insight it gave me. As with many other Covers;), he and I didn't agree on everything over the years and we had some fairly public disagreements.

Throughout he was a gentleman and his heart was always in the right place.

People helping people.

RIP

Marc has left a great legacy - we all owe him a debt that can only be repaid by continuing his efforts to improve the state of the Quality profession and Quality in industry.

I never met him in person but have met a few other ‘Covers’ over the years. I still remember finding this site even before I officially joined. My first real post was about the Ford/Mazda story in 1999 and the responses were incredibly valuable.

I know we all suffered with him - and some for him - during some dark times and celebrated during many more happy times. Marc never shied away from giving praise or reprimands when needed. It was a tough job herding all of these cats but he loved it. So glad that PQ Systems has taken up his legacy.

RIP Marc.
