TS 16949 - Design Exemption - Seeking a procedure/exclusion verbiage

Through my travels in the QMS land I have come across the issue of being design exempt. How would I mention that our company is design exempt in the QMS?

I presume you are asking about TS16949 here, since it is in the TS Forum.

I am not an expert in TS16949, but since it is based upon ISO9001 you would be able to take exclusion. You have to justify the exclusion to Design in your Manual.

If you would perform a search, you will know that this topic has been discussed at end.

With TS 16949 you can be exempt from design of PRODUCT, but remember, you are still responsible for design of process!!! And MUST include it.

In the manual something along the lines of:
XXX receive drawings and specifications from their customers and manufacture according to these requirements. XXX exclude the requirements of 7.3 that relate to product design
