TS 16949 Semiconductor Supplement Status - Obsolete?

What is the status of the Semiconductor Supplement to TS 16949? Is it an auditable document? May customers require registration to this document as a specific requirement? Can I get a 3rd party registration to this document? Any information on the future of this document in addition to its current status?
