I should clear something up.

We are not applying for ISO 9001, we are applying for TS 16949 with the understanding that all requirements of ISO 9001 are included with TS 16949. Similar to the QS/ISO thing. One is more difficult than the other and if you are compliant with the more difficult one you meet the requirements of the other.

ISO 9001 is a sub-set of TS 16949. Well, actually, TS 16949:2000 aligned TS 16949:2000 with ISO 9001:2000. TS 16949 is 'more difficult'.

I hate to correct the Master guru but I think Marc intended to say TS16949:2002 aligned TS16949:2000 with ISO9001:2000.

Cindy, ISO9001 is to TS16949 like the common cold is to SARs ;)

Good catch - Thanks! A typo on my part.

There is one presentation I have, which tells the Set and Sub set features of ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000. In this presentation all the requirement of TS2 over and above ISO9K2K are defined.
But as you know old problem, I can not attach the file. But yes I can send this ppt file to anyone whom so ever wanted it.
