Please read the AIAG PPAP manual (3rd Edition), page 5. Unless the submitted documentation meets all of the requirments shown there, it doesn't meet the requirements. As an example, the documentation almost never shows the date of testing, or the part number, and rarely shows the change level of the test standard. That's not to say that many, if not most, automotive customers routinely overlook the requirements when reviewing PPAP submissions, of course.
