TS16949 Process Design Requirements

In section 7.3 of the current (2009) revision of TS16949, is it a requirement that if the organization is NOT product design responsible, does that organization still required to meet the requirements for process design?

And if yes, would you be required to show evidence of review and approvals at different phases of the project as shown in the AIAG/APQP manual?

Again, if yes, does anyone have an example of a process design and approval checklist you could share?

thanks,
thenson

Yes, you are still responsible for process design. Note there is no TS requirement to use the AIAG APQP process, although it may be a customer requirement and reasonably mirrors the standard. We use a checklist based on the AIAG manual. Your best bet is to work thru that and the standard to develop a checklist. Good luck.

Best is to set up an APQP for this. Or design a process map that is similar to the APQP.
