Turtle Diagram

Our CB requested us to sent them turtle diagram for every process that we have. Yes we have turtle diagram for every process but isn't that CB job to create turtle diagram before conducting 3rd party audit? Event if I go 2nd party audit, I never ask my supplier to make turtle diagram for me. Should I entertain their request? Any 3rd party auditor here can give a suggestion how to proceed with this?

While it is not a specifically required document, it sounds to me like it will help them map out their audit. Why not give to them? I would much rather control what and where they are going to audit vs them just making it up as they see fit.

Thanks for the reply. My concern is they going to request it again next year. Since it is not a requirement to have turtle diagram, we encourage our internal auditor to create one before audit and some of them are not 100% correct.

That’s kind of my point. Create a few master docs to use when needed. It’s part of the package we use for our internal audits. Seems to me a waste of time to have an auditor create one, especially if not correct.

sort of off-topic, but i have never used (or even seen, outside of a classroom) a turtle diagram. i have generally used process flow diagrams to describe our processes. however, if you choose to use them, that's fine. but i have to wonder about your statement 'my concern is they going to request it again next year'. so what if they do? as long as your process remains the same, then just send them the document again. the only problem with turtles (or process flows, or any other method) is that you have to remember to maintain them. be sure they are included as a part of your document review process.
