We are developing patient lifts in many different configurations.
So we have manually driven versions and electrically driven versions, then each version is available with or without a weighing unit, then every version is available in different weight classes and so on, which ends up in 48 different configurations. If we would design a new option, we would end up with 96 different configurations etc.
How far do we need to go with defining different UDI-DI's and thus purchasing all those different GTIN codes?
How do other companies handle the UDI-DI changes for different configurations and options?
