Since the Quality Policy is attached with the vision and mission statements of an organization, why dont you propose a DRAFT Quality Policy here and then we take it forward ?

This would be much better than canned quality policies.

If I was writing a unified policy statement it would go something like this:

All work must be done safely, efficiently and effectively.

Then I would go into how we use ISO 9001 to design, build, manage and improve processes and systems that will deliver the capacity to achieve these results.

Just a quick advice - looking at the vision statement, you may consider incorporating people's involvement in all activities and also promotion of processes to develop their potential.

- We will integrate EHS into business decisions to proactively ensure the health and safety of our employees and promote environmentally sustainable practices.

Here I would suggest "We will integrate EHS criteria into all business decisions.........." or mention the stages (like planning, operation etc.) at which you will integrate the QEHS criteria.

ISO 9001 is not about products it's about the processes that produce them.

Ask yourself this question, how many of your staff will be able to tell you what the company quality (or QSE) policy is when you ask them that as part of your audits? How many

A one line policy is easy to remember, its easy to understand and relate to and it communciates only a small number of concepts and therefore easy to remember. It could also be used to resolve conflict and confusion over direction or actions to take.

If you go with your draft policy, note how often, over a six month period or so, it's referred to in meetings and discussions etc as a reference document for setting direction and resolving issues etc.
