using ms project

I am in the process of implementing a new project software, it allows me to create tasks and post them to employees. My concerns is what do I have to with a quality system to show that this is secure. I can show traceability and visual verification of products by the tasks being passed on to the next person for the their portion of the procedure however I am uncertain if I need more documentation.

Can someone help

Thanks

If you are the only one updating the file, make it read-only on your server.
If it is posted, mark it as CONTROLLED and log its location (if you have something like that in you document control procedure).
If multiple people update it, just make sure the RIGHT people have access to it. This should be reflected in your procedure, or within the individual project documentation.
Keep it simple if possilbe!

I would say that if you are the only one with the software loaded, then no one else can access the program. That would take care of security.

Within MS Project, you have the ability to to send tasks out through email and the assignees can respond, therefore not everyone needs to have the program loaded.

Anyway, hope that helps.
