We have recently changed premises to a much larger site with multiple staff being taken on in the process of the expansion. Although the company has not changed any processes or procedures what action should I take (apart from confirming training competence and the work environment) if anything at all to check compliance with ISO 9001

Thanks

Hi DebbiE.

I assume that this expansion project of the existing site has been managed by means of a project management approach, including an evaluation of the risks associated to this change ( for example, how you assured business continuity to your customers during the works) : so you should have already highlighted the critical point and significative changes. This is mirrored in the fact that you said that processes and procedures did not change as well
Not be aware of the type of the particulars, I overall agree with what you reported about training, competence , infrastructure and work environment.
In case of new resources for this expansion , I would check the clause related to outsourced resources, in the case you used external resource in this expansion and additionally in the production where new employees are foreseen, as you reported.
Besides, you should communicate to your registrar this kind of change , that is significative given that the site enlarged for space and new employes, even though processes and products remained the same.
Hope this helps

I realize that you are talking ISO and not TS.
But you want to make sure that your customers don't have any special requirements in regard to in regards to machinery being moved, etc.

You have to undergo complete reaudit to confirm your QMS CERTIFICATION

Inform your CB, amend your quality manual, address requirement of any validation due to reinstalling / recommissioning of process equipments. Other aspects you have already identified in your thread start. If your timing is close to suveillance audit, the location change could be addressed during that audit cycle, else talk with your CB and get through with a special audit to recognize the change in the certificate. Harry and qusys have said it all ......

There are likely a number of customer specific requirements that the auditor may ask about. I know that many automotive customers require prior approval (SREA submitted) for machine moves even within the same plant and will expect a PPAP for all parts affected by the move. I would contact your customer quality representative to determine what they require.
