I have two questions.

Company which design and develop soft,

1. What is the Special Process?

2. What is the final output of desing and development?

Thanks very much!

First off, welcome to the Cove! :bigwave:

I can't answer your first question as I have no experience in this field. However, outputs to design and development of software I can try...and hopefully others will, as well.

Outputs...
  • Final product (i.e., completed software)
  • Associated records and paperwork
  • Software code for possible future use on another project

I don't know if that was what you were looking for.

Special Processes

Special Processes in manufacturing typically represent those processes that cannot be verified by inpection or measurements, and rely on special process controls and documentation to verify the known process criteria to produce accetpable products. To actually verify the conformance a destructive test must be performed to evaluate the acceptance. Processes such as Heat Treating, or Welding. I don't know how this would apply to software unless you cannot test for all the requirements, but have processes to control the results.
Hope this helps

Chineseblue,

Ralph and Roxanne's responses were right on the money, in my opinion. The only thing I'd add is that if we're talking about Design and Development Outputs, as described by section 7.3.3 of ISO 9001:2000, then the output would most likely be a specification, standard, blueprint, drawing, or some document that describes what it is we are in the process of designing. This is not the *final* output of the process, of course, but it's what the standard is talking about when it says Design and Development Outputs. Obvious, but sometimes the obvious is the most ellusive...
