What are the actual requirements for QSB?

I am of course guessing but absent a reply from the OP, I would think it is GM's "Quality System Basics". I don't have information on the program but I have seen a number of references to it in correspondence from our GM linked customers.

QSB stands for Quality System Basics. It's a GM program that combines several tools they want suppliers to utilize in their system. If a supplier is in trouble, they will require them to submit to implementation of some or all of these techniques.

As part of the program, you do a self assessment, then the SQE will come and do a follow-up audit to verify compliance. In some cases, it is a condition for release from CS2 (controlled shipping level 2).

Yes, GM's QSB does stand for Quality System Basics. Back to my original question, does anyone know if it in any way tied in to TS?

QSB is not a direct requirement of TS, however, it GM makes it a customer specific requirement, such as a result of CS1 or CS2, then it would be required under that clause of TS. Your TS registrar would be notified by GM in the case of CS2, (customer satisfaction requirement) therefore, they could possibly know GM had required it for your location.

Hi Ralph,

I thought Quality is part of Business. So I think Whole is sum of parts, but part cannot be sum of the whole. What do you say!
