And what about quality objectives related with requirement 6.3 Infrastructure?
I have some ideas related with maintainance of the infrastructure, such as the number of requests attended in time by the maintainance departement.

Thanks

i have a question of our quality objectives:
can we state in our quality objective that our quality objective is (to provide the service on the specified date and based on the planned schedule).. will it satisfy the requirement of the SMART objective.

In my opinion , no

* You are missing the "S" of SMART ...the objectives must be specific

how much of your services must be provided on the specified date and based on the planned schedule ?

100% ? 90% ? 75%? your objective is not specific enough

* You must make sure your objective satisfies the "A... you must make sure its Achievable

What was your previous on-time/on scope service delivery number? can you reasonably expect to reach the new target ?

* Finally you must make sure you adress the "T" ... you must specify a timeframe to your objective ... must this objective be achieved in 1 year ? 2 years ? etc ...

Hope this helps

Disagree - if a particular service is to be provided on a specific date and according to a particular project plan, that's quite specific enough and it is time-based.

I Disagree back

The objective as written : "to provide the service on the specified date and based on the planned schedule" is not specific enough

if the statement of the objective was " EVERY service must be provided on the specified date and based on the planned schedule" , i would agree that it would be suffcient

But as formulated above ( to provide the service) ...there simply is no way to know how to teack if the objective is fulfilled or not

would 90% of services delivered on time be acceptable within this objective or would it require corrective actions ?

It needs more clarification

SO where is the best place to put your objectives if you know they are dynamic or will change more than the procedures... Hitorically I would have added them to the main procedure, but looking at the forum, a seperate document or file that shows the objectives along with proposed targets in measuring progress towards those objectives (KPI) is the best option

If they are broad quality objectives, I usually see them in the manual or in an annex.

If they are specific, I usually see them included in the metrics - spreadsheet or charts.

Don't put them in a procedure unless they're broad and rarely change.

Why not have a separate, single document ('Company/Dept Plan' or 'Objectives' )? This enables you to be uch more flexible and update/change them as needs require. YOu can reference it from the 'main procedure' you mention. You don't of course need a procedure - your choice as to whether you have one.

I would go so far as to say that if the objective is to be achieved on the specific project, this also is a timed. E.G 'we will have less xyz injuries per hours worked on this project than we had on the last project per xyz hours worked.' The project may get delayed or run over time but the objective is still timed.
